The Indiana women's golf team opened its spring season with a team score of 300 in round one of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic, leaving them in a 3-way tie for eighth place.
CHIP-INS
• Senior Erin Harper opened her spring season with a 1-under par 71 on Sunday. He carded three birdies and two bogeys on the round and is tied for sixth place individually after 18 holes.
• Mary Parsons is tied for 38th at 4-over par after she recorded three bogeys, one double bogey and a birdie on her round.
• Priscilla Schmid is also tied for 38th at 4-over after her opening round 76. She played the front nine in 1-over par and then the back nine in 3-over par with four bogeys and one birdie.
• Alexis Miestowski played her first 14 holes in 3-over par before a triple bogey on her 15th hole derailed the round. But she was able to rebound and birdie her final hole to get back to 5-over par for the round and a tie for 45th.
• Emma Fisher tied Harper for the team lead with three birdies on the day and she is tied for 68th at 7-over par (79).
• Elisa Pierre is in a tie for 78th at 9-over par after round one.
