Four Hoosiers Tabbed for USTFCCCA Scholar Athlete of the Year

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— The USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) has announced their men's and women's all-academic honors per a press release. Maggie Allen, Katherine Receveur, Dustin Horter and Kyle Mau received all-academic honors for the 2018 cross country season.
The USTFCCCA also announced their team all-academic honors. Both the men's and women's squads landed on the list after posting a 3.31 (men) and 3.49 (women) team GPA.
On the women's side, Maggie Allen and Katherine Receveur were both recognized as All-Academic team members. This caps off a season of success for Allen as she nabbed her first All-America honor at the NCAA Championships after a 36th place finish in the women's 6K. In the NCAA Great Lakes regional the senior placed eighth overall to capture All-Region honors. She was also tabbed with All-Big Ten Second Team with her ninth-place effort at Big Ten Cross Country Championships.
For the second time in her college career, Katherine Receveur earned all-academic honors. The redshirt senior earned All-Region accolades at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional as she took 19th placed overall. At the Big Ten Cross Country Championships the interior design major nabbed six place on her way to All-Big Ten First Team honors.
On the men's side, Kyle Mau and Dustin Horter were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic team. This tops off a successful cross country season for Mau as he earned All-Region recognition after a fourth place finish in the men's 10K at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. The redshirt junior placed x at Big Ten Cross Country Championships to notch All-Big Ten First Team accolades.
Dustin Horter has a successful freshman campaign. He placed 19th at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional which earned him a spot on the All-Region Team. In his first Big Ten Cross Country Championships appearance he finished 14th overall landing him on the All-Big Ten Second Team.
