Through the first 36 holes of the Westbrook Invitational, the Indiana women's golf team is tied for ninth place with a score of 579 (290-289; +3). The Hoosiers are one of seven Big Ten teams in the field and are beating three of those teams.
CHIP-INS
• As a team, Indiana played the Par 5's at 11-under par through the first 36 holes to lead the field.
• Freshman Alexis Miestowski opened the tournament with a 3-under par round of 69 to set a new career-best. She followed it up with a 2-under par 70 in round two. She is tied for fifth overall at 5-under par, just two shots behind first place.
• Through the first two rounds, Miestowski has logged eight birdies.
• Sophomore Priscilla Schmid is tied for 39th at 2-over par after rounds of 74 and 72. In her first round, she was 2-under through 11 holes but played the final seven holes in 4-over par. In round two, she flipped the script and closed with birdies on two of her final four holes to get back to even par.
• Redshirt senior Kari Bellville is tied for 48th at 3-over par after 36 holes. She opened with four birdies in round one on her way to posting even par 72. Then in round two, she had four bogeys and one birdie on her way to a 75.
• Senior Erin Harper opened with a 75 and then came back to post a 73 in round two, putting her at 4-over par and in a tie for 56th.
• Sophomore Mary Parsons had a bit of an up-and-down opening round before posting a steady round two and is tied for 70th at 6-over par. Her first round 76 saw her begin with a string of bogeys before she rattled off three straight birdies. Then in round two, she recorded 16 pars and two bogeys.
• Junior Emma Fisher, who is competing as an individual, is tied for 56th at 4-over par after a pair of 74's on Sunday.
