Fogg, Asdell Recognized for Academic Excellence

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana volleyball alum Samantha Fogg and senior Elizabeth Asdell recently earned special recognition for academic honors.

Fogg, who graduated in December with a degree in Management through the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, earned the Scholastic Achievement Award, given to the student-athlete on each team with the highest grade point average.

Asdell earned placement on the College of Arts & Sciences Executive Dean's List for the Fall of 2018. It's a recognition a small percent of undergraduates achieve, which requires a 3.7 GPA.

Asdell has been accepted to the Indiana University School of Dentistry and will become the fourth generation of her family to attend IU dental school.

Fogg took part in an internship program through Bank of America over the summer and plans on pursuing a career as a financial advisor.

Asdell and Fogg both were three-time Academic All-Big Ten honorees and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honorees at Indiana.
