HEAD COACH SHONDA STANTON
"We wanted to get out to a fast start and we did in game one. In came down to great pitching to get that run-rule win against UVA. Tara did a great job giving us the start and Goodin came in and got the save. They both did a tremendous job out there. Gabbi was a spark offensively and defensively Katie Lacefield was huge and made plays. Grayson did a great job as well at short – the left side of our infield looked really good today. That's what it takes – you have to have two of the three - we had defense all day today and we had pitching. Natalie Foor getting her first win, she just looked in control. It's exciting to just get out there and compete like we did today."
