BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The Indiana wrestling team won three bouts, but No. 18 Rutgers earned the match victory 24-11 on Saturday at Wilkinson Hall.

Notes
• Indiana drops to 4-10 overall and 1-6 in the Big Ten. Rutgers improves to 10-5 overall and 3-3 in the Big Ten.
• Bryce Martin got a takedown and four-point near fall early in his match as he earned a major decision 13-0.
• Martin won his 16^th match of the season and improved to 5-2 in Big Ten dual matches.
• Elijah Oliver returned to the Hoosiers lineup for the first time since the dual against Ohio State and earned a 16-5 major decision.
• Oliver, who has competed in several tournaments this season outside of dual competition, recorded his 20^th win of the season.
• Fernie Silva opened the match against the No. 1 ranked wrestler in his weight class (149) Anthony Ashnault and led 4-2 in the first period and was even 6-6 with in the second period. Ashnault won the dual by a narrow margin, 8-7.

"I thought we competed tonight. We had a couple matches slip away that were really close that changed the momentum of the dual. I preached to my guys before the match to try to ring together a couple of consistent wins to get the crowd involved. I think we missed some opportunities in that, but we have to rebound for tomorrow and come back strong."
