Morgan Named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Indiana University men's basketball senior forward Juwan Morgan has been named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week after leading the Hoosiers to victories at Illinois and over Rutgers on Senior Day in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. It is the third time in his career he has been honored. He shares the weekly award with Minnesota's Amir Coffey.
Morgan, a 6-8 forward from Waynesville, Missouri, averaged 22.5 points and 8.0 rebounds and shot 74.1% from the floor as the Hoosiers have now won four games in a row.
Against Illinois, he had 20 points and nine rebounds to lead IU to a 92-74 win on the road. Facing the Scarlet Knights on an emotional Senior Day, he made his first 10 field goal attempts and finished with 25 points and seven rebounds.
This year, Morgan ranks ninth the in the Big Ten in scoring (15.1), fifth in rebounds (8.4), sixth in field goal percentage (55.3), seventh in blocked shots (1.5) and 11th in steals (1.2).
For his career at IU he ranks 30th in scoring (1,298 points ), 14th in rebounding (729), fifth in field goal percentage (55.3%), ninth in blocked shots (132). He also has 147 career assists and 101 steals.
