KEY MOMENTS
• With two outs in the top of the first, senior Matt Lloyd worked a walk to set up a two-run home run for senior Ryan Fineman.
• After the Sycamores plated a run in the bottom of the first, IU got three more in the top of the second on an RBI double from sophomore Drew Ashley and a two-run home run from freshman Grant Richardson.
• A solo home run, RBI double, and a two-run home run for Indiana State trimmed the Hoosier lead to three runs in the bottom of the third, 8-5.
• ISU took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning. An RBI single and an RBI groundout led to a Romero Harris three-run home run to give the Sycamores a 10-8 lead. A Clay Dungan solo homer in the sixth made it an 11-8 game.
• With one out in the top of the seventh, Ashley was hit by a pitch, Lloyd singled, and Fineman singled to set up an Elijah Dunham grand slam to put the Hoosiers back in front, 12-11.
• The Hoosiers kept the scoring going. After senior Logan Kaletha worked a walk with one out still, sophomore Cole Barr drove him in with an RBI double to make it a 13-11 game.
• After the Sycamores' Max Wright delivered a two-out, game-tying two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh, Ashely led off the top of the eighth with a solo home run to center to give the Hoosiers a 14-13 advantage.
• ISU tied the game up on an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning, but Barr delivered the final blow with a solo home run to left field, giving IU the 15-14 lead.
