Ford and Lane Compete on Day One of the ASU Invitational

Tempe, Ariz.— Indiana Track & Field had two Hoosiers in action on the first day of the ASU invitational. Nycia Ford and Nick Lane were the lone Hoosiers in action on Friday afternoon as both competed in the hammer throw.
Ford competed first as she placed second in her first event of the outdoor season with a distance of 63.94m (209' 9"). On the men's side, the hammer throw was the first event that Lane competed in the Cream & Crimson. The redshirt freshman threw a distance of 56.21m (184' 5") to finish in fourth overall.
Indiana will be back for day two of the invitational as Anna Watson and Kara Deady will compete first in the pole vault beginning at 6:30 p.m. Live results of the meet can be found here.
