EUGENE, Ore. – 2 seed Oregon hit 13 3-pointers as 10 seed Indiana fell in the NCAA Tournament Second Round on Sunday night, 91-68 at Matthew Knight Arena.
KEY MOMENTS

Indiana and Oregon exchanged early buckets to open the first quarter. The Ducks would use a 10-0 run to take the lead. The Hoosiers would stick around by tallying a 6-0 run of their own to pull within two. Oregon was able to push their lead back out to eight by going on a 6-0 run with the clock winding down. IU received the last shot as Jaelynn Penn pulled up for a made 3-pointer to end the quarter and shorten the deficit to 24-19.

In a game of runs, Indiana went on a 9-0 run in the first two minutes and 46 second of the second quarter. UO would counter with a 19-3 run to regain the lead, 43-31, going into halftime. Despite the scoring deficit, the Hoosiers saw points from seven different players as Penn knocked down eight to lead all Indiana scorers in the first half.
Leading off the third quarter, sophomore guard Bendu Yeaney knocked down a pair of jumpers for Indiana's first two shots of the quarter. Despite the Hoosiers gaining momentum, back-to-back 3-pointers from Oregon gave them their largest lead of the night, 49-33. Indiana was able to cut the lead as little as 10 with a conventional 3-point play from senior forward Kym Royster and a jumper from Berger with 4:19 to play in the third.
Back-to-back buckets to open the fourth quarter from Penn and Berger made cut it to 11 but momentum would favor Oregon, who opened up a lead IU couldn't come back from with just under five minutes to play.

NOTABLE

The Hoosiers end the season 21-13 overall, marking the ninth time Indiana has finished with 20 or more wins in a season. It wrapped up IU's sixth NCAA Tournament bid and the second under head coach Teri Moren.
Four Hoosiers saw double figures, behind a team-high 16 points from redshirt junior Ali Patberg who also dished out five assists. She ends her first season in Cream and Crimson with 25 games in double figures.
Sophomore guard Jaelynn Penn added 15 points for Indiana while also adding a team-high six rebounds and picked up two steals.
Freshman guard Grace Berger (11 points) and sophomore guard Bendu Yeaney (10 points) each ended their nights in double figures.
Redshirt junior forward Brenna Wise tied Penn on the glass with six rebounds.
Senior forward Kym Royster closed out her career as the all-time winningest player in school history with 88 victories. The Newark, Ohio native went 3-for-3 from the field and had eight points. In all, she scored 876 points and made 77 career starts while making four postseasons in her career.
The Ducks were paced by junior guard Sabrina Ionescu who tallied a triple double (29 points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds). They shot 51.5 percent from the floor and mad 13 3-pointers.
