
Eight Former Hoosiers Complete NBA Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Eight former Indiana Hoosiers recently completed the 2018-19 NBA season. Eric Gordon (Houston Rockets), Victor Oladipo (Indiana Pacers), Cody Zeller (Charlotte Hornets), Noah Vonleh (New York Knicks), Yogi Ferrell and Troy Williams (Sacramento Kings), OG Anunoby (Toronto Raptors) and Thomas Bryant (Washington Wizards) all represented the Cream and Crimson this past season. Seven of the eight listed above played on Big Ten Championship squads with the Hoosiers.
Gordon's Rockets and Anunoby's Raptors will begin action in the playoffs this weekend, while Oladipo (who suffered a season ending injury) will also see his Pacers also compete for an NBA Championship.
Eric Gordon (2007-08)
The Indianapolis native and former All-American completed his 11th season in the NBA and averaged 16.2 points for the Rockets this season. He has played in 629 career games and has scored 10,497 points. He is fifth all-time among all former Hoosiers who have ever played in the NBA averaging 16.7 points in his career.
Victor Oladipo (2010-13)
One of just four players to ever earn NCAA Player of the Year honors when donning the candy stripes, Oladipo, who is in his sixth year in the league, suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee which ended his season. He was averaging 18.8 points in his first 36 games. He is fourth among all-time Hoosiers in NBA career scoring averaging 17.5 points per game.
Cody Zeller (2011-13)
The former All-American and Washington product just completed his sixth season with the Hornets. He started 47 of the 49 games he played in and averaged 10.1 points per game. His 51.1% field goal percentage only trails only Hall of Famer Walt Bellamy as the most accurate shooting former Hoosier to every play in the NBA for 5 seasons or more.
Noah Vonleh (2013-14)
The former Big Ten Freshman of the Year enjoyed his best professional campaign in his fifth year in the league. He started 57 games for the Knicks and averaged career bests in scoring (8.4) and rebounds (6.1).
Yogi Ferrell (2012-16)
A two time Big Ten Champion and All-American while attending IU, Ferrell wrapped up his third season in the league and first with the Kings. He averaged 5.9 points and 1.9 assists. He has averaged 8.6 points in 199 NBA games.
Troy Williams (2013-16)
A member of the 2016 Big Ten Championship team, Bryant, Williams played 21 games this season with Sacramento and averaged 5.3 points. In 72 career NBA games with Memphis, Houston, New York and Sacramento, he has averaged 6.3 points.
OG Anunoby (2015-16)
The 2016 Big Ten Champion averaged a career-best 7.0 points in 67 games with Toronto this season. He averaged 7.9 points and shot 44.8% from three-point range in the 2018 NBA Playoffs.
Thomas Bryant (2015-16)
Another starter on the 2016 Big Ten champions, Bryant was one of the most improved players in the league this season averaging 10.5 points and 6.3 rebounds for the Washington Wizards in 72 games. He set a franchise record by making 61.6% of his field goal attempts. He began his career last season with the Los Angeles Lakers.
