Throwers Kick Off Weekend for Indiana Track & Field

AUBURN, Ala.— Day one at War Eagle Invite is in the book for Indiana Track Field's throwers. Nycia Ford led the Hoosiers as she placed fourth in the women's hammer with a distance of 60.55m (198' 8").
Also, on the women's side, Princess Brinkley saw a distance of 55.93m (183' 06") to place within the top-10. Alexis Hill was the final Hoosier to compete as she secured a distance of 49.26m (161' 7").
Nick Lane was the first Hoosier to see the field as he placed fifth overall. The freshman notched a distance of 56.63m (185' 9").
The squad will return to action tomorrow when David Schall competes in the men's discus throw. Action is slated to begin at 1 p.m. EST. Live results of the meet can be found here.
