Wallace PR’s in 800 to Highlight Day One of Cardinal Classic

STANFORD, Calif.— Indiana Track & Field competed in the 800m and 5K at the Cardinal Classic hosted by Stanford on Friday night.
In the men's 800m invite it was a fight to the finish as Adam Wallace picked up with the win with a PR time 1:49.78. Jalen Royal crossed in a time of 1:51.09 to take sixth while Aaron Bennett placed seventh with a time of 1:51.82.
On the women's side, Joely Pinkston was the first Hoosier to cross the finish line in a time of 2:07.91. Teammate, Mallory Mulzer clocked a time of 2:09.55.
Bryce Millar capped off the night for Indiana in the 5K where he placed 11th and clocked a time of 14:10.51.
The Hoosiers will return tomorrow to compete in a slate of 1500m. Action will begin at 9:36 p.m. EST.
