BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana football program announced Wednesday that the NCAA has approved a waiver for quarterback Jack Tuttle, which grants him immediate eligibility. The redshirt freshman transferred from Utah in December and has four seasons of eligibility remaining.
"We are very pleased for Jack and his family," IU head football coach Tom Allen said. "We look forward to him competing this fall. We also appreciate the NCAA's assistance throughout this process."
A four-star prospect by Rivals and 247Sports, Tuttle garnered a place in the 2017 Elite 11 Finals in addition to The Opening. The 6-4, 211-pounder from Mission Hills High School (San Marcos, Calif.) was ranked the No. 4 pro-style quarterback nationally by Rivals, the No. 5 pro-style quarterback nationally by 247Sports and the No. 13 player in California by 247Sports.
