BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Penn State's Dante Biasi outdueled Indiana's Pauly Milto as the Nittany Lions took the first game of the series on Friday night, 2-0.
KEY MOMENTS
• The Nittany Lions got runners on first and third with one out in the third inning. That led to a double down the line by Gavin Homer to give the Lions a 1-0 lead.
• Penn State's Conlin Hughes hit a one-out solo home run in the top of the seventh to extend the lead to 2-0.
• A single in the top of the 9th resulted in Penn State's final run of the night.
NOTES
• Milto went six innings, allowing six hits with one earned run, striking out eight and walking two. He now has 22 career quality starts in his 33 career starts.
• Matt Lloyd pushed his reached base streak to 23 games
