Allen and Michalski Pick Up B1G Weekly Accolades

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— The Big Ten Conference announced their weekly Track & Field Athlete of the Week on Wednesday after per a press release. For the first time this season, Maggie Allen was named B1G Women's Track Athlete of the Week. Daniel Michalski picked up Co-B1G Track Athlete of the Week.
At Penn Relays is past weekend, Allen picked up her second consecutive championships title in the women's 3000m. Competing in her final Penn Relays, the senior clocked a time of 9:18.33 to home gold. The Louisville, Ky. native also competed with the women's 4x1500 and took runner ups in the Championship of America race.
Michalski picked up a PR on his way to his first Penn Relays title in the steeplechase. The graduate student crossed first in a time of 8:34.26. He was also part of the men's DMR squad that was .74 shy of first to walk away runner up in the Championships of America race.
Allen, Michalski, and the Hoosiers will return to the track on Friday at home. Indiana will host the annual Billy Hayes Invitational on Friday, May 3 beginning at 1 p.m. EST.
