Hoosiers Trim 9 Strokes Off First Round Score, Tied for 22nd Entering Final Round

• In the Hoosiers first NCAA Championship appearance since 2007, they improved nine strokes from the first round to post a team score of 313 in the second round. IU is tied for 22nd with Vanderbilt at 51-over par. Indiana was ranked 24th out of the 24 teams in the field entering the tournament.
• Indiana will be paired with Vanderbilt and Tennessee for Monday's final round, which will be begin at 7:00 a.m. (Central).
• The top 8 teams after Monday's third round will advance to the match play portion of the championship on Tuesday and Wednesday. The individual national champion will be crowned after Monday's third round.
• The 132-player field registered an average score of 79.93 in the first round. Sunday's second round saw the average drop to 76.23.
• Sophomore Mary Parsons had the round of the day for IU on Sunday, carding a 4-over par 77. She is now 11-over par overall and tied for 79th individually, which is also the best among the five Indiana golfers. She was 3-over on her opening nine holes – the back nine – and had played the first seven holes on her second nine holes in 1-under par before a double bogey on No. 7 put her at 1-over one for the nine and 4-over for the round.
• Graduate student Kari Bellville was steady once again, following up her opening round 81 with a 78 in round two. She is tied for 90th with a score of 159 (+13). With the exception of a triple bogey on hole No. 15, Bellville recorded three birdies and five bogeys. She played the front nine of the course in Even par with two birdies and two bogeys.
• Sophomore Priscilla Schmid struggled out of the gate and posted 41 on her opening nine holes but she settled down to register a 38 on her second nine for 79 in round two. She is tied for 90th at 13-over par (159) heading into the final round.
• Senior Erin Harper also carded a 79 in Sunday's second round to put her in a tie for 90th at 13-over par through two rounds. She was 7-over on her round through the first 13 holes, but played the final five holes in 1-under.
• Freshman Alexis Miestowski trimmed seven strokes off her first round score to post an 82 on Sunday. She is tied for 130th with a score of 171 through the first 36 holes.
