Hoosiers Save Best for Last On The Way To A 21st-place Finish

• Following a weather delay in the afternoon, the leaders were not able to finish their final round before darkness. As a result, the individual positions listed below are not final/official. (UPDATE: the individual standings listed below are final after teams completed stroke play early Tuesday morning.)
• The six teams will return to the course to compete stroke play at 6:45 a.m. CT on Tuesday to finalize the eight teams that will advance.
• In their first NCAA Championship appearance since 2007, Indiana carded their best team round of the tournament with a score of 309 during Monday's third and final round. Their overall score of 944 put them in 21st place, ahead of No. 8 Vanderbilt, No. 36 Tennessee and No. 43 UCF.
• Indiana was ranked 24th out of the 24 teams in the field entering the tournament.
• The 21st place finish is the best for IU at the national championship since a 13th place showing in 1998. IU finished 24th in 2007.
• Sophomore Mary Parsons continued her strong week by closing with a 4-over par 77 in her final round. Her overall score of 234 (+15) is currently tied for 66th with a couple golfers still needing to finish their final round.
• Parsons T66 finish would be the best individual finish by an IU golfer since 1998 (Erin Carney – T20th).
• Another sophomore, Priscilla Schmid, also closed out a strong week with a 77 in her final round and is currently tied for 79th with a score of 236. She played her first nine holes in 1-under par with two birdies and one bogey on the more difficult back nine.
• Graduate transfer Kari Bellville continued to play the best golf of her collegiate career and finished in a tie for 86th at 18-over par after a 78 in her final round. She continued to play well on the front nine of the course, playing it in 1-over par on Monday.
• Senior Erin Harper closed out her stellar Indiana career with an 82 in the final round. Her total score of 242 (+23) is tied for 105th.
• Freshman Alexis Miestowski continued to improve after a difficult first round, closing with a 77 in the final round, where she played the final five holes in 1-under par. Her overall score of 248 is currently tied for 122nd.
