No. 20 Indiana Falls to Minnesota, 9-4

OMAHA, Neb. – Indiana (36-21) was eliminated from the Big Ten Baseball Tournament on Thursday, as it fell to the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 9-4.
KEY MOMENTS
• Riley Smith got the scoring started in the second inning for Minnesota, as he reached on a fielding error, allowing a run to score.
• Jordan Kozicky made it a 2-0 game in the top of the third with a one-out RBI double.
• The Hoosiers put up a three-spot in the bottom of the fourth. Junior Scotty Bradley got it started with an RBI groundout. After sophomore Justin Walker tallied an RBI single, he stole second base and forced an errant throw, allowing sophomore Cole Barr to score. Indiana led 3-2.
• Minnesota responded with a three-run fifth on a pair of RBI doubles and an RBI single.
• Following another insurance run for the Gophers, Bradley reached on a fielding error in the bottom of the sixth that scored a run for the Hoosiers, making it a 7-4 game.
• The Golden Gophers got a late solo home run and two-run triple to increase the lead to five runs.

• Indiana is 28-26 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament.
