BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana women's tennis program has added Annabelle Andrinopoulos, a graduate transfer from the University of Colorado.
Last season at Colorado, Andrinopoulos played all of the top three singles spots, spending most of her time at the No. 3 position. In doubles, she reached as high as No. 20 in the ITA national doubles rankings with partner Monica Malinen. The duo of Annabelle and Monica were fourth alternates at the 2019 NCAA Doubles Championships.
"We are thrilled to welcome Annabelle Andrinopoulos to Indiana Women's Tennis," IU head coach Ramiro Azcui said. "Annabelle joins our program after completing a stellar career at the University of Colorado where she graduated with a degree in Business just a few short weeks ago. Annabelle has one season of eligibility remaining and will pursue a masters program in the Kelley School of Business. As a veteran college player, we have no doubt she will make a positive impact both on the court and in the locker room for our young team this fall. We look forward to helping her finish her playing career on a high note."
In juniors, she was a member of the national tennis program in Australia and represented Australia on overseas tours.
Andrinopoulos was a two-time Nationals finalist and competed in the 2014 Australian Open Juniors. She also represented Australia in the World University Games in Taipei in 2017.
Academically, Andrinopoulos was a two-time Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention and finished at Colorado with a double major in marketing and operations management with a 3.25 cumulative GPA. She was on the AD's academic honor roll seven times at Colorado.
