
Indiana To Play At Miami In 2019 Big Ten/ACC Challenge

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Matchups for the 2019 Big Ten/ACC Challenge were announced on Tuesday which features Indiana Women's Basketball heading to Coral Gables, Fla. to take on the University of Miami on December 4, 2019.
The Hoosiers and Hurricanes have met three times in program history and once in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Indiana won that matchup, 69-54, in Miami on Dec. 5, 2008. Miami leads the all-time series 2-1 as the two teams last met up on Dec. 20, 2015 in the Florida Sunshine Classic in Orlando. The then No. 23/21 Hurricanes defeated Indiana, 89-75.
Miami posted an overall record of 25-9 last season and finished at No. 19/20 in the final national polls. They advanced to the NCAA Tournament Round of 32 and finished fourth in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 2018-19. The Hurricanes return two leading scorers in All-American senior guard Beatrice Mompremier (17.0 ppg., 11.8 rpg.) and junior guard Mykea Gray (12.6 ppg.).
All-time in the Challenge, IU is 7-5 including a win at Wake Forest last season and 4-2 in road games. Game time and TV information will be available at a later date.
Indiana returns four starters from a season ago where it advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and went 21-13 overall. The program's three leading scorers will return including senior guard Ali Patberg, junior guard Jaelynn Penn and senior forward Brenna Wise.
