IU Cross Country Announces the 2019 Fall Slate

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— Head Coach Ron Helmer and Indiana Cross Country have announced the 2019 Cross Country Schedule. The Hoosiers will compete in six regular season meets.
They will open up the 2019 season in Oxford, Ohio for the Miami Opener on Friday, Aug. 30. Last season, Lexa Barrott won her first collegiate meet as Indiana took home gold in both the men's and women's races.
The Hoosier will make their first ever appearance at the Commodore Classic hosted by Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 14.
Next, the squad will head north on U.S. 31 to South Bend, Ind. where they compete at Joe Piane Invitational. On the grounds of the University of Notre Dame, competition is slated for Oct. 4.
On Oct. 18 and 19 the cream & crimson will split and round out the regular season by competing in the annual Nuttycomb Invitational and Pre-Nationals. The Nuttycomb Invitational will be held on Friday Oct. 18 in Madison, Wisc. This season, Pre-Nationals are being hosted in Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday Oct. 19.
Ohio State will play host to this season's Big Ten Championships. The race is set for Sunday, Nov. 3. Last season, the men finished third while the women placed fifth overall.
This season on Friday, Nov. 15 the NCAA Great Lakes Regional will be held in Madison, Wisc. where the 2018 National Championships were held. This year's NCAA Championships will be held in nearby Terre Haute, Ind. on Saturday, Nov. 23.
