Women’s Soccer Adds Transfer Oliwia Wos

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women's Soccer has announced the addition of sophomore defender Oliwia Wos, who is transferring to IU after spending last season at Wake Forest. Wos will be eligible to play immediately for Indiana.
A native of Olesno, Poland, Wos played in 16 games with 13 starts as a freshman centerback for the Demon Deacons, who advanced to the Third Round of the NCAA Tournament in 2018. Wos earned her first collegiate point on an assist against Virginia on Sept. 30.
Prior to her time at Wake Forest, Wos played for Poland's U-17 and U-19 national teams, in addition to earning an appearance with the full national team in 2017. With the U-19 squad, Wos participated in the Elite Round of the 2018 UEFA European Women's U-19 Championship. Wos played club for Arminia Bielefeld in Germany and previously played for Herforder SV and VfL Bochum.
The daughter of Beata and Krzysztof, Wos has two sisters, Julia and Natalia.
The Hoosiers begin the 2019 campaign, the first under head coach Erwin van Bennekom, on Aug. 22 at North Carolina. For the full schedule, click here.
