BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Softball has announced the addition of Hannah Davis, a utility/infielder who spent her freshman year at the University of Kentucky. Davis will be eligible to play immediately for Indiana.
"Hannah was originally committed to us at our previous institution so we are extremely familiar with her and her family," said head coach Shonda Stanton. "We are excited to have this second opportunity to coach her. She is a talented ball player who will have an immediate impact as a utility infielder with the ability to provide an offensive spark to our lineup. We are excited for Hannah to be a Hoosier!"
Davis, a native of Georgetown, Ky., attended Scott County High School, where she led the team to three state championships and was a four-time All-Region, All-District and team Offensive MVP selection. One of those state titles came in a senior campaign that saw Davis bat .600 with 71 hits, 75 RBI and 13 home runs. For her efforts, Davis was also named a Premier Girls Fastpitch High School All-American and First Team All-State.
The left-handed batter played her travelball for the Louisville Sluggers and is planning to major in Communications at Indiana.
