BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women's golf, led by head coach Clint Wallman who is entering his 16th season with the Hoosiers, released the schedule for the 2019-20 season. The slate features tournaments in nine different states and Puerto Rico along with the first home tournament on the brand new Pfau Course at Indiana University.

"We are excited for the 2019-20 season for many reasons," Wallman said, "but the biggest one is finally having a chance to showcase our home course – the Pfau Course at Indiana University – in the spring against some outstanding competition. The rest of our schedule has a mixture of familiar tournaments and new tournaments that we hope will prepare our team to compete against the top teams in the country in the postseason again."

Schedule Notes
• Indiana will open the season on Sept. 9-10 at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is the fifth time the Hoosiers have competed in the event, but the first since the 2012-13 season.
• IU Head coach Clint Wallman was an assistant coach at the University of New Mexico – the host of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational – during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons.
• The East-West Match Play Challenge features eight of the top teams in the country competing in stroke play and match play competition over three days (Sept. 22-24). This year, the University of Wisconsin will host the tournament at the University Ridge Course in Madison.
• The Hoosiers competed in the East-West Match Play in 20015-16 and finished fourth.
• For the second straight year, Indiana will compete at Medinah Country Club for the Illinois Women's Invitational at Medinah. IU finished tied for 10th in the 15-team field last year with Kari Bellville (T25) pacing the Hoosiers.
• Medinah Country Club will host this year's BMW Championship, the second-to-last event on the PGA Tour and part of the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The course has also hosted the 2012 Ryder Cup, three U.S. Open's (1949, 1975, 1990) and two PGA Championships (1999, 2006).
• A new tournament on the schedule this year to conclude the fall schedule is the Landfall Tradition, hosted by the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW).
• To open the spring portion of the schedule, IU will travel south to Puerto Rico to take part in the annual Lady Puerto Rico Classic hosted by Purdue University. This will be the Hoosiers' 10th appearance in the tournament since making their first appearance in 2005-06. The Hoosiers finished 12th out of 14 teams here in 2018-19.
• Another new stop on the schedule is the Hurricane Invitational, hosted by the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. This tournament will be played on the newly renovated Biltmore Golf Course.
• The home stretch of the schedule brings a pair of familiar tournaments onto the schedule with the Briar's Creek Invitational and the Clemson Invitational, both being played in South Carolina.
• Perhaps the tournament that propelled Indiana on to the NCAA Regional and NCAA Championship in 2018-19 was a second place finish at Briar's Creek in Charleston, S.C.
• The Clemson Invitational featured one of the strongest fields in the regular season as the Hoosiers finished 15th out of 18 teams. Then-freshman Alexis Miestowski finished third individually at Briar's Creek and then carded a final round 67 to pace IU at Clemson.
• Rounding out the regular season will be the Indiana Invitational to be played at the Pfau Course at Indiana University on April 18-19.
• Indiana will look to add to their six NCAA Regional appearances and two NCAA Championship appearances (2007, 2019) under head coach Clint Wallman.
