
No. 2 Indiana Opens Exhibition Season with 3-0 Win over Bowling Green

WESTFIELD, Ind. – The No. 2-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team opened the exhibition season with a 3-0 victory over Bowling Green at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind. on Monday night.
KEY MOMENTS
• In the 38th minute, freshman Herbert Endeley gave the Hoosiers a 1-0 lead with a goal from 10-yards out. Assist goes to classmate Victor Bezerra, who played it to Endeley on the right side.
• Just three minutes later, Thomas Warr made the IU advantage 2-0 with his first score of the exhibition season. Joe Schmidt earned the assist after his long-distance effort was saved on a dive. Warr cleaned up the rebound from five-yards out on the left.
• The second time was the charm for Schmidt, as his long-distance effort from 20-yards out in the 58th minute would not be denied. Great placement on the shot came after a BGSU turnover.
NOTABLES
• Goalkeepers Bryant Pratt, Roman Celentano and Jacob Gruber combined for the shutout for the Hooisers.
• The two teams played three, 30-minute periods.
