BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference has announced dates for its 18-game league slate for the 2019-20 season.
The Big Ten schedule begins on Saturday, Dec. 28 when Michigan State visits Bloomington. IU plays on the road on New Year's Eve at Rutgers before returning home to host Illinois (Jan. 6) and Purdue (Jan. 9). They visit the reigning Big Ten Tournament champion Iowa (Jan. 12) and host Northwestern (Jan. 16). Two more games away on the road at last year's regular season league champion Maryland (Jan. 20) and at Penn State (Jan. 30) before reaching the midway point by hosting Minnesota (Jan. 27).
January closes out against Wisconsin (Jan. 30) while the Barn Burner Trophy game at Purdue opens up the month of February (Feb. 3). The Hoosiers face Maryland for a second time (Feb. 6) and travel to Nebraska (Feb. 9). They travel up to Champaign to face Illinois (Feb. 13) to conclude a two-game swing before returning home to host Ohio State (Feb. 16).
The final three games of the regular season start at Minnesota (Feb. 22) with the regular season home finale against Nebraska (Feb. 27) and at Michigan (Mar. 1). The schedule will culminate March 4-8 with the 27th Big Ten Women's Basketball Tournament at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Indiana's non-conference schedule will be announced at a later date. In previously announced games, IU will travel to the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas versus South Carolina, Baylor and Washington State during Thanksgiving and in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at Miami.

Four starters return from that squad including leading scorer redshirt junior guard Ali Patberg, leading rebounder senior forward Brenna Wise and junior guards Jaelynn Penn and Bendu Yeaney.
