"Overall, it's been a good day, any time you can start with a couple wins at home. It's a fantastic start to the season. Unbelievable atmosphere tonight, we couldn't be more grateful for the Wilkinson's and IU folks who supported this project, this building, seeing it through to playing a match and the energy in here was unbelievable. Shout out to IU swimming and diving for being amazing, our student section was good. Our marketing did a fantastic job. The environment tonight was fun. It was definitely a step in the right direction to what we need it to be, to make it a tough place to play in the Big Ten.
As far as the match, I tip my cap to Marshall. We played hard, I thought they didn't give up after being handled pretty easily in the first two games. They compete like crazy. And as a first-year coach he is doing a great job with that program. Much respect for how they went about their business. I thought the key in the third game was that the serving and passing got weird for us. We got a little squirrely, then we settled down a little bit. Much like this morning where we were trying to figure some stuff then it got a little bit more clean. We played pretty good clean volleyball. No rest for the weary, we got a 10 a.m. match tomorrow and a big one tomorrow night at 8pm. For me it's 2-0 and a million lessons to take from this, but thrilled by the IU community, everyone came out to support us. It was a very cool match in Wilkinson Hall."
