Indiana Ranks 12th In Men's Basketball Attendance for 2018-19 Season

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University men's basketball program ranked among the top 15 programs in the country in average home attendance during the 2018-19 season, finishing 12th in the country with an average of 15,206 fans per game. It is the eighth straight season that the Hoosiers have ranked among the top 15 teams average attendance in the country.
IU's total attendance in 21 home games – including three home NIT games - was more than 319,000, the fifth-highest total in college basketball.
Since Assembly Hall was opened in November, 1971, Indiana has ranked in the top 10 in attendance in 40 of the last 7seasons.
IU also ranked ninth among all NCAA Division I teams with 501,092 fans seeing the Hoosiers play at home, on the road and in neutral games.
The Big Ten also led all conferences in average attendance with 12,691 fans, ahead of the Southeastern Conference (11,527), Atlantic Coast Conference (10,912), Big 12 Conference (10,170) and Big East Conference (9,999). It marks the 43rd consecutive season the Big Ten has led the nation in average attendance.
