
IUWG Alumna Shannon Johnson Advances to Round of 16 in the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Indiana women's golf alumna Shannon Johnson has advanced to the round of 16 in the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur. The defending champion will compete this evening against Ina Kim-Schaad in match play.
Johnson defeated Ellen Port in the round of 32, 2 and 1, to advance.
Last year, Johnson won the event at Norwood Hills Country Club in Saint Louis, Mo., defeating the previous champion Kelsey Chugg.
Johnson played at Indiana during the 2005-06 season, leading the team in scoring with a 74.83 average.
