No. 5 Hoosiers Fall on the Road at Butler

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 5-ranked Indiana University men's soccer team fell on the road to in-state rival Butler, 2-0, at the Sellick Bowl in Indianapolis on Tuesday night.
KEY MOMENTS
• In the 18th minute, freshman Herbert Endeley was brought down by the Butler (4-3) keeper, earning a penalty kick for the Hoosiers (4-1-2). Classmate Victor Bezerra stepped to the spot, but his effort was saved on a dive by the BU goalie.
• In the 24th minute, Butler's Brandon Guhl made the Bulldogs' first shot of the match count, scoring off an IU defensive miscue.
• Butler added to the lead in the 52nd minute on a goal from 18-yards out from Alex Lehtinen.
• Jack Maher brought the Hoosiers to within 2-1 in the 83rd minute, scoring off a corner kick when Butler failed to clear.
NOTABLES
• The loss for the Hoosiers is just the fifth against non-conference teams in the regular season dating back to the 2014 season. IU is now 40-5-7 in those contests.
• The setback to the Bulldogs was the first for the Hoosiers in the last five matches (2-0-3).
• Indiana out-shot Butler, 18-5, and had a 6-2 advantage on shots on-goal.
• IU also had a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks.
