BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Former Indiana standout Tevin Coleman and the San Francisco 49ers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2.
In the NFC Championship game, the 49ers defeated the Green Bay Packers, 37-20. The fifth-year running back will be playing in his second Super Bowl. While with the Atlanta Falcons, Coleman secured seven carries for 29 yards, and he added one catch for six yards and a score in Super Bowl LI. The Falcons fell to the New England Patriots, 34-28, in overtime.
Prior to exiting the game with an injury, Coleman carried the ball six times for 21 yards in the victory over the Packers.
Coleman turned in a dominant performance in San Fran's divisional-round victory (27-21) over the Minnesota Vikings. He totaled 22 carries for a game-high 105 yards and two rushing touchdowns. His yardage and scoring output marked his highest in a post-season contest. The game marked his first-career 100-yard game in the postseason as well as his first-career post-season game with two-plus rushing TDs.
