
Hoosiers Drop Heartbreaker To Wagner In Overtime

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Indiana Women's Water Polo fell to No. 21 Wagner in sudden-death overtime in the Michigan Invitational on Saturday, 18-17. The Hoosiers trailed, 9-5, and scored seven unanswered to take a 12-9 lead before succumbing in OT. Leading the Hoosiers was sophomore Tina Doherty with five goals and senior Megan Abarta with three goals and three steals.
KEY MOMENTS
• Wagner scored the first two goals of the game with scores from Valeria Rojas at the 7:38 mark of the first quarter and from Malia Josephson at the 6:11 mark.
• The Hoosiers got on the board with 5:07 remaining in the first quarter on a goal from sophomore Lauren Etnyre to cut the lead to 2-1.
