Postgame Notes
- The Hoosiers fell to 15-5 on the season and 5-4 in the Big Ten with a 77-76 loss to the #17 Maryland Terrapins on Sunday. The all-time series is now tied at eight.
- The loss is the first for the Hoosiers this season in a game that has been decided by five points or less. IU has won the previous four.
- The Hoosiers opened the second half on a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 45-43, which extended their run from the first half to 12-2 and a junior guard Aljami Durham 3-pointer with 17:57 remaining in the game triggered a Maryland timeout.
- Indiana took their first lead of the game at the 16:23 mark on a redshirt junior forward Joey Brunk layup, 47-46.
- Freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis hit a jumper with 11:44 remaining in the game to extend the Hoosier lead to 60-52 and force a Maryland timeout.
- Indiana's first turnover of the second half came with 9:58 remaining in the second half, which ended a stretch of 22:41 without a turnover for the Hoosiers.
- Indiana had a season-high 22 assists on 30 made field goals and outscored Maryland in bench points, 37-12.
- IU tied its season high of 3-pointers made with nine on 19 attempts (47.4 percent).
- The Hoosiers had four scorers in double figures, senior guard Devonte Green (16), Jackson-Davis (13), redshirt freshman forward Jerome Hunter (12) and sophomore guard Rob Phinisee (10).

- Brunk scored six points and grabbed three rebounds for the Hoosiers.
- Smith scored six points and grabbed eight rebounds.
- Freshman guard Armaan Franklin scored five points on 2-of-3 shooting, while grabbing a board and dishing out an assist.
- Durham tallied four points and dished out three assists in 21 minutes of action.
- Senior forward De'Ron Davis scored four points and dished out three assists in 13 minutes.
- Sophomore forward Damezi Anderson recorded four minutes of playing time.
- The Hoosiers go on the road twice this week when they travel to Penn State at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29 and again to Ohio State at Noon on Saturday, Feb. 1.
