- The Hoosiers fell to 15-6 on the season and 5-5 in the Big Ten with a 64-49 loss to the Penn State Nittany Lions on Wednesday. The all-time series is still in favor of IU, 39-12.
- Freshman forward Trayce Jackson-Davis had two alley-oop dunks at the 7:27 and 3:10 marks of the first half that helped tie up the game at 23.
- After Penn State took a 41-32 lead to begin the second half, junior forward Justin Smith hit his eighth 3-pointer of the year to make the score 41-35 with 12:33 remaining.
- Indiana outrebounded the Nittany Lions, 44-38, while grabbing 25 in the first half and the Hoosier defense held Penn State to only 24-of-64 shooting (37.5 percent).
- The Hoosiers had two players in double figures, Jackson-Davis (14) and Smith (13).
- Jackson-Davis led the Hoosiers with 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting and 4-of-4 from the free throw line, while grabbing seven rebounds.
- Smith scored 13 points for the Hoosiers and grabbed seven rebounds in 29 minutes.
- Redshirt junior Joey Brunk scored six points, while grabbing six boards.
- Senior forward De'Ron Davis scored six points for the Hoosiers, while grabbing five rebounds.
- Junior guard Aljami Durham added five points for IU and recorded one rebound, assist and block each.
- Senior guard Devonte Green tallied four points for Indiana and grabbed three rebounds.
- Freshman guard Armaan Franklin hit a free throw and grabbed five rebounds in 18 minutes.
- Sophomore guard Rob Phinisee dished out a team-high four assists and grabbed two rebounds.
- Sophomore forward Damezi Anderson tallied four rebounds in 15 minutes.
- The Hoosiers will be back in action this weekend against Ohio State at Noon on Saturday, Feb. 1.
