"First of all, thank you to our crowd tonight that came out to support us. I thought it was your typical turn out for an Indiana, Purdue game. The crowd obviously gives us energy, always. We appreciate everyone who came out and supported us tonight. Good win for us. I didn't think we played particularly clean or as pretty as we did the other night against Illinois in terms of our ball movement. Our ball movement was not as crisp as it was the other night. Shot selection particularly in the first half, we were just shooting the ball too quickly. We made one or two passes and took contested shots or shots outside the 3-point line when we easily could have gotten shots up at the rim. We tried to make some adjustments there at half time. I thought we did a much better job in the second half. I thought defensively, tonight, we were terrific. We didn't give Purdue anything easy. Arianna Harris is a very good post player. She is a very tough kid to have to guard on the low block. I thought it was very good for Mackenzie Holmes to see what a senior post player of her caliber plays like. Aleksa Gulbe did a terrific on her and made her fight for all of her points. Jaelynn (Penn) did a good job guarding (Karissa) McLaughlin and AP (Ali Patberg) went back and forth who was guarding her was really good. I thought AP did a great job on (Kayana) Traylor as well. I am really happy defensively. Give Coach Box and Rhet (Wierzba) and JB (Janese Banks Constantine) over there credit for getting the matchups right, but also for making some subtle adjustments to how we were guarding ball screens. Give our kids credit for sticking to the game plan."
