Lofton Signs Professional Contract to Play in Finland

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– Former Indiana volleyball student-athlete and All-Big Ten performer Deyshia Lofton has signed her first professional contract.
Lofton, who graduated in the spring of 2020 will play the 2020-21 season for LP-Vampula in Finland.
Lofton wrapped up her Indiana slate with 413 career blocks, which ranks seventh best in program history. Lofton became only the second player in program history to hit .300 or better for her career. Her 89 solo blocks rank as the fourth best in program history.
In the 2018 season, Lofton earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors and hit .336 for the season, the fifth best hitting percentage in school history. Lofton finished her Hoosier career with 912 kills and 413 blocks.
