Davis Finishes T4 at Golfweek Purdue Amateur

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Indiana men's golf junior Mitch Davis earned his second straight top-five finish as he went T4 at the Golfweek Purdue Amateur. He fired a 4-under-par 212 at the event a week after finishing tied for second at the Golfweek Hoosier Amateur. Davis and his fellow Hoosier teammates competed unattached as individuals.

After carding a 71 in each of the first two rounds, Davis shot a 70 on the final day, collecting five birdies.

Freshman Clay Merchent finished tied for 29th while senior Ethan Shepherd (T33) and junior Harry Reynolds (T35) landed in the top 35. Rounding out the Hoosier representation was senior Tate Heintzelman (T41), sophomore Eric Berggren (T52), freshman Drew Salyers (T56), freshman Robbie Bender III (T61) and senior Evan Yakubov (T61).
