TEAM
• Indiana defeated No. 8/7 Penn State, 36-35, in overtime at Memorial Stadium.
• The victory was Indiana's sixth against a Top-10 team in program history, with the last win coming at No. 9 Ohio State (31-10) on Oct. 10, 1987.

• The win was the first over a Top-10 opponent for IU at Memorial Stadium since beating No. 3 Purdue (19-14) on Nov. 25, 1967.
• Indiana's last win over a ranked opponent came against No. 17 Michigan State in Bloomington, 24-21, in overtime on Oct. 1, 2016.
• IU has won 15 of the team's last 17 season openers and are 43-18 in Memorial Stadium openers.
• With the victory, Indiana improved to 5-7 in overtime games.
OFFENSE
• Redshirt sophomore quarterback Michael Penix Jr. completed 19-of-36 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown. Penix also had a 1-yard rushing touchdown and ran in both the game-tying two-point conversion in regulation and the game-winning conversion in overtime.
• Junior running back Stevie Scott III carried the ball 20 times for 57 yards and two touchdowns. He is the 14th running back in Indiana football history to eclipse 2,000 career rushing yards and he owns 2,039 in his career.
• The Syracuse, N.Y., native moved into 10th on the all-time Hoosier list for total career touchdowns scored (24) and seventh in all-time rushing touchdowns (22).
• The 2019 second-team All-Big Ten selection has secured six multi-touchdown games in his career and Saturday marked his first since recording 26 carries for 116 yards and two scores in a 34-3 victory over Northwestern on Nov. 2, 2019.
• Senior wide receiver Whop Philyor totaled five catches for 36 yards and one touchdown for the Hoosiers.
• Senior wide receiver Ty Fryfogle hauled in two catches for 27 yards. His first reception of the contest put him over 1,000 career receiving yards, the 47th Hoosier to accomplish this feat.
• Redshirt sophomore wide receiver Miles Marshall matched a career-best with four receptions for 46 yards.
• True freshman wide receiver Javon Swinton had two receptions for 23 yards.
• Redshirt freshman left guard Mike Katic made his first-career start.
DEFENSE
• Indiana secured three first-half takeaways, the first three-takeaway game since earning three against Northwestern on Nov. 2, 2019.
• The Hoosiers have recorded a takeaway in 30 of the last 32 games. IU cashed three turnovers into 17 first-half points.
• Junior linebacker Micah McFadden matched a career-high with 11 tackles, all a career-high solo. The game marked his second-career game with double-digit tackles after making 11 stops (10 solo) at Nebraska on Oct. 26, 2019. The Tampa, Fla., native added one TFL.
• Junior safety Jamar Johnson added a career-best 10 tackles, a career-high seven solos, and his fourth-career interception.
• The Sarasota, Fla., native has registered a pick in three-straight games dating back to the 2019 season. He also recorded his second-career forced fumble for his first-career multi-takeaway game.
• Junior safety Devon Matthews stuffed the stat sheet with eight tackles (5 solo), his first-career sack, one TFL and two pass breakups.
• Sophomore cornerback Tiawan Mullen matched his career-high with eight tackles (4 solo) to go with one TFL.
• Junior cornerback Jaylin Williams secured his third-career interception in the first quarter. Williams returned the pick 14 yards and finished the game with four tackles (3 solo), one PBU and one quarterback hurry.
• Junior linebacker Cam Jones made his first-career start in his 24th-career game in the Cream and Crimson, posting a career-best seven tackles (six solo) with one TFL.
• Junior defensive lineman James Head Jr. notched a career-high five tackles (3 solo).
• Sophomore defensive tackle Sio Nofoagatoto'a also charted his first-career start, totaling two tackles, including one TFL.
• Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Jerome Johnson recorded his second-career fumble recovery to go with a pair of stops.
• In his Indiana debut, graduate student Jovan Swann had one quarterback hurry.
SPECIAL TEAMS
• Redshirt sophomore kicker Charles Campbell was a perfect 2-for-2 on field goal attempts with makes from 48 and 34 yards. The 48-yarder matched a career long. He was successful on both PAT attempts.
• Graduate student punter Haydon Whitehead had five punts on the day, averaging 42.8 yards an attempt with one inside the 20-yard line.
• Sophomore long snapper Sean Wracher has snapped in all 14 career games played at Indiana.
