Indiana Enters Top 20 in Both National Polls

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – After defeating No. 8/7 Penn State, 36-35, in overtime on Saturday at Memorial Stadium, Indiana entered both the Associated Press (AP) and Amway Coaches Poll presented by USA Today Sports on Sunday.
The Hoosiers are ranked No. 17 in the AP Poll and No. 19 in the Amway Coaches Poll. The ranking is the best for IU in the AP poll since Nov. 2, 1993, while the team's place in the Amway Coaches poll is the best since Nov. 8, 1993.
Last year, Indiana earned rankings of No. 24 in the Associated Press (AP) poll and No. 25 in the Amway Coaches Poll on Nov. 10.
The No. 17/19 Hoosiers will head to Piscataway, N.J., to face Rutgers on Saturday, Oct. 31. The game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and will be televised on BTN.
