November 25, 2020
•. IU improves to 100-21 in season opening games and have won 22 of 23 of their last lid lifters. IU is now 5-0 all-time vs. Tennessee Tech and 25-0 against Ohio Valley Conference teams.
• Senior Aljami Durham and sophomore's Trayce Jackson-Davis and Armaan Franklin are making their second straight opening night start.
•. Junior Rob Phinisee also started on opening night two seasons ago, but was injured last season. Redshirt junior Race Thompson is making his first career start.
• Sophomore Jerome Hunter and freshman Trey Galloway were the first Hoosiers off the bench.
•. Hunter established a career-high in assists with 3 and added 9 points and 2 steals
• Freshman Khristian Lander scored his first career collegiate points on a jumper with 12:42 left.He finished with 5 points and 2 assists.
• Galloway scored his first career basket on an and-one with 11:47 left in the half. He also made the free throw. He finished with a bench-high 13 points in 19 minutes
• Freshman Jordan Geronimo saw his first action checking in at 4:11 in the first half. He scored his only basket on a layup with 3:26 left in the game.
• The Hoosiers went on a 20-0 run over a six minute stretch to break it open late in the first half with a 40-19 lead. IU finished the half on a 28-2 run.
• Freshman Anthony Leal saw his first playing time at 3:23 of the first half. He played
• The Hoosiers 29-point halftime lead bettered their 2019-20 season best at halftime (Troy 58-32)
• Jackson-Davis had his 7th career 20-point effort and 13th career double-double. He finished with 26 points, 11 boards and 3 steals.
• Durham had 9 points, 4 assists and 6 rebounds.
• Phinisee chipped in 12 points and 5 boards.
• Franklin had 8 points and made 3 of 4 field goals.
• Thompson had 5 points, 3 boards and 2 steals.
• The Hoosiers had 22 assists and just 8 turnovers.
