Postgame Notes
December 1, 2020
• With the loss, Indiana will play in the third-place game against the loser of the North Carolina-Stanford game. The matchup will take place at 1:30p on ESPN on Dec. 2 (tomorrow). The game will mark the first time that IU has played in the third-place game seven trips to the event.
• The scoring output ranks as the lowest single-game total for the Hoosiers in their 21 games played in the Maui Invitational.
• Sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis led the Hoosiers in scoring for the second time this season with 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the free throw line. He also chipped in four rebounds, one steal and one block in 28 minutes.
• Senior Aljami Durham scored eight points to go along with two rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes of action.
• Sophomore Armaan Franklin tallied six points and pulled down a team-best seven rebounds in his third start of the season.
• Redshirt junior Race Thompson scored four points and grabbed six rebounds (two offensive).
• Junior Rob Phinisee scored three points and added two rebounds and an assist in 17 minutes.
• Sophomore Jerome Hunter scored four points off the bench to go along with one rebound.
• Freshman Trey Galloway tallied two points and five rebounds against the Longhorns.
• Freshmen Khristian Lander, Jordan Geronimo and Anthony Leal all saw action off the bench for Indiana.
• Indiana shot 11-of-46 (23.9%) from the floor, 2-of-10 (20.0%) from the 3-point line and 20-of-29 (69.0%) from the free throw line.
• The Hoosiers committed a season-high 14 turnovers that led to 17 Texas points. UT also outrebounded IU by a count of 48-29, including 14-6 on the offensive glass.
