What's your favorite way to spend a day off?
My favorite way to spend a day off is by spending time with my roommates and teammates exploring new parts of Bloomington. One of our favorites is watching the sunset at Griffy Lake.
What surprised you the most about being a student-athlete at IU?
What surprised me the most is how much help and support we have not only on the court but in all other facets of our lives as student-athletes. On a personal level, I surprised myself by finding I was able to push myself beyond the limits I thought I had.
If you weren't playing volleyball at IU, what sport would you play?
If I wasn't playing volleyball at IU, I would love to spend my time golfing.
Who is one of your role models and why?
One of my role models is my Dad because he gives full effort in all that he does. Each challenge is taken as a learning opportunity and his work ethic is something I truly admire.
Do you have any pre-match rituals? If so, what are they?
My pre-match ritual consists of drinking a Strawberry Refresher from Starbucks and listening to my pre-game playlist on repeat to mentally prepare.
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you win a gold medal at?
If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport it would be braiding my teammates' hair.
Outside of volleyball, what's something you're passionate about and why?
I am very passionate about being mindful and living in the moment rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. I do my best to live each day to the fullest and be grateful for all that I have.
Why did you choose to attend IU?
After meeting with the coaching staff, it became apparent they would push me to be the best version of myself, both on and off the court. In addition to their support, I fell in love with the beautiful campus and the welcoming IU community.
