Postgame Notes
December 23, 2020
• Sophomore Trayce Jackson-Davis scored a game-high 22 points to go along with nine rebounds. He connected on 9-of-12 shots from the floor and 4-of-6 attempts from the charity stripe.
• The game marked TJD's fifth 20-point outing of the season and 11th in 40 career games. He has put together back-to-back 20-point games for the first time in his career after tallying 21 points against the Butler Bulldogs last time out.
• Jackson-Davis is one of three active Big Ten Conference players to average at least 20 points per game with at least 8.5 rebounds a night. He currently averages 21.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest.
• Sophomore Armaan Franklin tallied 16 points on 7-of-17 shooting. The Indianapolis native has scored in double figures in four-of-five games, including three-straight contests. During the five-game stretch, Franklin is averaging 15.4 points per game.
• Redshirt junior Race Thompson scored 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting to give the Hoosiers a trio of double-figure scorers. He added six boards.
• Jackson-Davis, Franklin and Thompson combined for 34 of Indiana's 39 points in the second half, with the starting backcourt duo contributing 24 points.
• Freshman Trey Galloway added six points on 2-of-2 shooting from the 3-point line, a career-best for made triples.
• Junior Rob Phinisee scored four points to go along with two rebounds and one assists.
• Senior Aljami Durham notched two points and three assists.
• Sophomore Jerome Hunter knocked down a 3-pointer and collected two rebounds off the bench.
• Freshman Khristian Lander drilled a corner 3-pointer and added one rebound.
• The Hoosier defense forced the Wildcats into a season-high 16 turnovers, including nine in the second half. Indiana turned the extra possessions into 19 points.
• Indiana outrebounded Northwestern by a count of 27-25 and 9-5 on the offensive end. Both teams collected eight points off second chances.
• IU scored 32 points in the paint to NU's 28 and double up the 'Cats on the break, 8-4.
• Northwestern stormed out to a game-high 15-point lead (33-18) at the 5:31 in the first half. Over the next 7:35 of the game, Indiana outscored the visitors, 18-5.
