Isiah Levitz Q&A
What is your favorite way to spend a day off?
My favorite way to spend a day off is probably playing video games. I also enjoy walking around campus or catching up on sleep.
Who is one of your role models and why?
A role model of mine would be my dad. He gets up early every day to support our family and has been there for all of my brothers and I's sporting events since we were li le. He has taught me a lot about life and was initially the one who got me started in wrestling. My family is truly blessed to have him.
Do you have any pre match rituals and if so what are they?
Before my matches I like to listen to music and just stay active on my feet. I also do some breathing exercises that help calm me down and stay focused on the match.
What is your favorite wrestling memory?
My favorite wrestling memory is winning high school team state back to back seasons.
Do you have any holiday traditions with your family?
My family holidays consist of a lot of games. Usually after opening gift we get together and play a lot of different games my cousins found online. For example one year we had a competition to see who could knock over a stack of cans with rubber bands the fastest which turned into a house wide rubber band fight.
Outside of wrestling what is something you are passionate about and why?
I am really passionate about my faith. If I am not wrestling or studying I am probably at a bible study. I believe God is our creator and blesses us each and every day and I should do my best to live a godly life to give thanks for that.
Why did you choose to a end IU?
I chose to a end IU because I really wanted to wrestle for my home state at the highest level. I have also always wanted to be a IU Hoosier since I started learning about college and it's a blessing to wrestle for them. I also feel the coaching staff will put me in the best positions to succeed in the sport and in life.
