
Brenna Wise Selected To 2020 WBCA ‘So You Want To Be A Coach’ Class

ATLANTA – Senior forward Brenna Wise has been selected as part of the 2020 WBCA 'So You Want To Be A Coach' class, announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
The Pittsburgh, Pa. native is a two-year team captain and has started every game for Indiana in that time span as she is averaging 8.6 points and a team-high 5.7 rebounds per game this season. In her career, Wise has scored over 1,300 career points and 750 rebounds and was a 2018-19 All-Big Ten second team selection. A double major in marketing and professional sales in IU's Kelley School of Business, Wise excels in the classroom with a 3.89 GPA and has been named an Academic All-Big Ten selection and a 2019 CoSIDA Academic All District and a 2020 Senior CLASS Award finalist.
The Women's Basketball Coaches Association, in partnership with WeCOACH, is pleased to announce the class for the 18th annual "So You Want To Be A Coach" program. Each member will participate in the three-day workshop with speakers provided by WeCOACH on April 2-4 in conjunction with the WBCA Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The objectives of the "So" program are to increase the understanding and application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions in women's basketball, increase the understanding and awareness of competencies necessary for success in coaching, introduce female basketball players to coaches and administrators, and raise awareness of the existing talent pool of female basketball players who have a passion and interest in coaching the game of women's basketball.
