Dawson Rakes In Third Big Ten Athlete of the Week Award

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Big Ten Conference announced their weekly Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week accolades on Wednesday afternoon. For the third time this season, Indiana Track & Field's Khayla Dawson was awarded as field athlete of the week.

Dawson competed at the Alex Wilson Invite this past weekend where she notched a distance of 17.56m (57' 7.5") to place first in the shot put. The mark also now ranks No. 5 in the country headed into conference championships weekend.

Dawson and the Hoosiers will be in action on Feb. 28 & 29 at the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships. The meet will be held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Tickets to the event can be found here.
