Hoosiers Win Fifth Straight, Prevail Over No. 25 Dartmouth

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.– The No. 49 Indiana men's tennis team took down No. 25 Dartmouth 5-2 on Saturday at the IU Tennis Center. With the win the Hoosiers equaled their best 11 match start since the 2010-11 season.
The Hoosiers (8-3) have now won five straight matches and beat a Dartmouth team that came in with a 9-2 record.
The doubles point was pivotal and the Hoosiers needed a pair of 7-5 wins at No. 1 and No. 1 doubles to secure the point.
The Hoosiers split the first two singles matches as No. 86 Bennett Crane improved to 12-5 in singles, including 5-2 in dual match play.
Andrew Redding put the Hoosiers up 3-1 with a 6-4, 6-1 win and freshman Luka Vukovic won a tiebreak 7-0 in the second set to clinch the match for the Hoosiers. Vukovic improved to 12-4 overall in singles and has won his last five matches.
Vikash Singh added an additional point for Indiana to complete the 5-2 victory.
The Hoosiers get an extended break from competition, before they travel to Northwestern for a match on March 14.
The Hoosiers host the Big Ten Championships, April 23-26 in Bloomington, Ind.
