Hoosiers Head to Notre Dame for Meyo Invitational This Weekend

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Track & Field travels north to Notre Dame where they will compete in the Meyo Invitational on Feb. 7 and 8 inside Loftus Sports Center.
A portion of the Meyo Invitational on Saturday will air live on ACC Network Extra beginning at 2 p.m.

Last Time Out: Indiana Relays
Maddy Pollard led the Hoosiers this past weekend Indiana Relays. The sophomore heaved a distance of 17.57m (57' 7.5") to earn a new personal best while receiving the second highest mark in the NCAA so far this season. Eight Hoosiers and two relay squads tallied victories throughout the weekend. Rikkoi Brathwaite (60m), Adam Coulon (pole vault), Jake Gebhardt (3000m), Jenna Jungels (long jump), Kyle Mau (3000m), Leah Moran (triple jump), Joely Pinkston (800m), Shaton Vaughn (60m hurdles), and Cooper Williams (800m) all earned individual victories on Friday and Saturday. The Hoosiers also swept the distance medley relay in the both the men's and women's fields.
Hanging with the Best
The Indiana Relays brought many strong professional Competitors to Bloomington. Despite not garnering first place, four Hoosiers finished as the Top-Collegiate in their respective events. Jyles Etienne cleared a height of 2.21m in the high jump to claim the top-collegiate spot while Maddy Pollard secured a mark 17.57m (57' 7.5"). Matthew Schadler finished right behind IU standout Andy Bayer with a time of 4:01.05. Anna Watson cleared a personal best height of 4.30m (14' 1.25") to come out as the top-collegiate behind IU Alum Sydney Walter.

Week 5 Big Ten Weekly Honors
For the fourth time this season, Indiana has landed someone the Big Ten Athlete of the Week list. This week, Maddy Pollard and Kyle Mau were recognized for their efforts at Indiana Relays. Pollard earned women's field athlete of the week after throwing a PR mark of 17.57 (57' 7.5") and finishing as the top-collegiate. Kyle Mau won the 3000m and helped anchor the DMR to a second-place finish.
