"Winning in the Big Ten is big, so when you get them on the road it's even bigger. We knew that in spite of us having a great first quarter that they were not going to go away quietly. That is a really good basketball team. On a night where we didn't shoot it very well, we made just enough plays to get out of here with a win today. Give them credit for coming back the way they did. They got nice pieces. Amy (Williams) does a terrific job. They had to get stops, we had to get stops. I don't think it was an offensive fest by any means in the second half for the spectators and fans, but I thought you saw two teams that were playing extremely hard on the defensive end. I thought the defense was a source of why we had some of those missed shots. Great win for us. I am glad we are going home with this, but it was not an easy day."

- The lead was pushed to as many as 25 in the first half as Wise's transition bucket off a Husker turnover made it 36-11. Nebraska (15-9, 5-8 B1G) would take the edge in the frame, 17-15, but IU still held on to a double-figure lead at the break, 41-23.
- But the Huskers would chip away at the Hoosiers lead in the second half, winning both the third and fourth quarter. They came within 11 at the end of the third, as IU would hang on to a 51-40 lead.
- But the fourth spelled danger for Indiana, as it let Nebraska tie the game up on two separate occasions including a 53-all tie with 1:45 remaining. Needing a bucket, sophomore guard Grace Berger's reverse layup with 30 seconds to go put the lead back in her team's hands, 55-53.
- On the defensive end, senior forward Brenna Wise came up huge with 19.3 seconds to go as she drew the charge. Forced to foul, the Huskers sent junior guard Jaelynn Penn to the line for a pair that she sank and made the difference in the ball game.
